I have been a long time user of Bet Selector with good results but then heard and found Ratings Plus which can be attached to the Bet Selector platform and this was a bigger game changer for me. Very easy to setup and use Ratings Plus has added more winners to my card each Saturday hence giving me a lot more success. In a snapshot the users screen gives you all the information you need from Race Strengths to where the Rail is positioned for that days racing along with Track Conditions and present up to date weathers. For the part time punter like myself it is idea, the only recommendation l can give is to have look and you will be hooked. Following up on my review of this service a couple of weeks ago I stated that the Class ratings can pop up winners in the $50 plus range. Normally I discard any 1st or 2nd pick that I am able to get more than $60 plus, however yesterday in Race 3 at Sandown Monarch Chimes which was top rated in the Class ratings was available with Betfair at around $61 and was too close to my cut off point of $60 to ignore, I could not resist a nibble at that price. I have been getting Ratings Plus since October last year and have been impressed by the results. Since then in over 2000 races that I have worked on the Master Ratings are in positive POT in both backing the top rated and the top two rated , without any modifications whatsoever, With a few personal adjustments I can turn this into a major advantage for myself. The Class ratings while not positive POT on all races from the same meetings does return some large priced winners when 1st or 2nd pick. Some as much as $50 plus (1 or 2 pick.) Recent winners which spring to mind are Turnpike and Al Passam (both top picks) Odds secured for these selections were $44.00 and . $26 respectively. One of the many great features that I use is the ability to export the ratings to my own spreadsheet for analysis. Another that I marvel at,are the speed maps the program displays upon settling and at the 400 m mark. Quite often when listing to a race I click on this feature and am amazed at how accurate it is. I would recommend this program to anyone even half serious about making a profit from their punting. These are some of the things I like about Ratings Plus, It tells one how far the rail is out in meters at all tracks It has Trainer and Jockey ratings for every race, wow that helps heaps, The Ability to sort race fields by all the different data columns in a race...that is a must. Market movers giving how much a price has lengthened or shortened in the race...Yep I follow the money on some races. It allows the data to be easy to read in the columns. There are lots of extra features in a drop down list, it has accurate Speed maps showing the predicted positions in the race and also the ability to load races in race order or meeting order - the software is a godsend to my punting needs and wants - Thanks heaps

Ratings Plus is one of the most versatile programs I have experienced on the market in terms of horse racing software. All aspects of what the end use may want have been considered, which means, that the program isn't a “one size fits all” - I've found that you can use the features to fit your own way of punting.

The headline act in the program for mine is the “race strength” calculation. The ability to understand each race a horse has run in, and compare these in such a simple manner against one another and also against the overall make up of today's field, is a real edge in regards to the likely outcome of the race.

One of my favourite simple features of the program, is the ability to sort data by any particular variable at the click of a button. You may initially want to look at overall ratings, but then switch to understanding the ranking of various sets of ratings or the individual jockey ratings in the race, and back again, and it happens in a matter of seconds. The layout of the information is such that multiple references can be made at once, and the colour coding is an example of details that have been thought of to aide the end user.

The speed maps are another favourite feature within the program. Apart from the accuracy of these, what I find unique is the ability to view the speed map on settling, and then again at the 400m mark. Understanding the pace of a race I find is key to gaining an advantage of predicting the likely outcome.

What I haven't touched on, is the ratings themselves, which ultimately, do point you in the right direction as to the outcome of the race. Overall, the program I feel is a great innovation on the market.
